This album was recorded in a church in Stockholm during two warm summer nights 2024. It has a moody vibe with focus on ballads like Prelude to a Kiss, My Old Flame and Stardust together mixed with some medium songs and originals. All music is effectivley arranged by the bandleader to fit his alto saxophone and his fellow musicians.
On the CD you will find liner notes by jazz pianist and vocalist Champian Fulton who also produced the record.
Don't miss the super talented Leo Lindberg on the piano, the amazing Niklas Fernqvist on the bass and the dynamic, ever-present Daniel Fredriksson on the drums together with the beautiful style of Klas Lindquist´s alto saxophone on this amazing album.

This music on this album is specially written for the band members, such as trumpeters Karl Olandersson and Nils Janson and saxophonists Fredrik Lindborg and Robert Nordmark. It is full of energy, but also well balanced, where the six winds are woven together with the rhythm section formed around the dynamic Daniel Fredriksson at the drum set.
Of the albums eight tracks, seven are composed by Klas and one by Swedish legendary vocalist Alice Babs. All music is arranged by Klas.

This album has a warm “at home-feel” and was indeed recorded at the home of friend and musical colleague John Högman. What you hear on the record is how it sounded at John´s place then and there. Nothing added. A recording done without separation screens or headphones but rather with eye contact and an occasional smile in place of written out arrangements.

The music on this cd is the result of the inspiring work of writing music for pre-selected musicians. I have played with all of them in different bands and project and they are all good friends of mine. When I put together this band I thought a lot of how to create deepness and balance in the sound of the band. The different personality of the musicians is a very important element and together with my style of writing it forms the music you hear.
